DZAMALAND
DZAMALAND was an ensemble performance, exploring the watercolour paintings of the artist Marcel Dzama. Using image, gesture and stylised speech, inspired by his characters. They were brought to life in front of the audience’s eyes, interacting in a way that explored the world of Dzamaland. As well as performing in the piece, Alexander designed and made the costumes for the performance, paying close attention to the details of the artists paintings.
