A retelling of the classic tragedy by Alexander Kaniewski, a deeply moving and powerful performance of the Greek tragedy, through the lens of

MARIA CALLAS,

One of the last great divas of opera.

A fresh contemporary piece with an original score by Helen Madden, which explores the glamour and minimalist operatic tones of 1960s New York, combined with the classical, often dramatic tones of the opera.

The performance will premiere at York’s theatre Royal on March 15th 2018, before touring to further venues around Yorkshire.

A brilliant opportunity to work with the Theatre Royal and partake in a ground-breaking contemporary production, explore a new style of music in a theatre environment, and gain vital experience in musical performance.
